Hi,
This winter I'm considering replacing the keel brackets and bolts on my First 260 Spirit 'Brise'.
By these I mean the brackets that house the axle of the keel and are bolted to the boat - we've already replaced the lifting mechanism (who hasn't?..)
Our boat is nearly 22 years old and the brackets are showing signs of corrosion and looking rather sorry for themselves.
I can get the parts from Fox's Yachts, but am concerned about the 'logistics' of the job - it's not hard, just very heavy!
Has anyone else replaced these brackets? I've seen it done on the 211, but not on the 260.
I'd love an insight into how it was done...
