Hi, on my 351 I have the original Autohelm ST4000 Autopilot. The belt unit requires a service (new drive belt and tensioning), as it keeps slipping out. All in (plus a few other minors), this will cost around £100. I am considering upgrading the complete drive unit to the ST4000+ on the grounds that it is only Has anyone carried out this upgraded, which, I am assured, will work with the original ST4000 control head. In particular will I need a rudder reference unit - which my neighbour needed, from scratch, with an ST4000+ on his brand new 331. thanks in advance Colin
another £200 but is "more robust" (and would come with a warranty).
